Victorian Design Review Panel

This is a past event.

“The Office of the Victorian Government Architect (OVGA) is establishing the Victorian Design Review Panel. Funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet as a three year pilot program, with the model of delivery drawn from international best practice, this expert panel will review major Government projects at key stages of the design process. The aim of the panel is to ensure best value and highest quality in public buildings and places in the interests of all Victorians.

The OVGA is seeking expert design and development professionals who have strong experience in project design review, including architects, landscape architects, urban designers and planners, as well as specialists in the fields of heritage architecture, sustainability, development economics, public art, infrastructure planning, community development and ecology to join them in establishing this exciting initiative.

The VDRP will review projects monthly in half day sessions, and panel members will be asked to commit to 4 half day sessions a year, with specialists drawn upon when required by the project.

If you are interested in playing a part in supporting clients to achieve their vision for projects, and ensuring all opportunities are realised in Government projects, the submission requirements and terms of reference are located on the DPC website.”

Submissions are to be received by 5pm, 14 November 2011.
