Ideas competition for hypothetical national capital
What ‘might’ an Australian national capital look like if designed today?
The international design ideas competition, launched on May 6th, asks the world’s best designers and artists to imagine how an Australian national capital ‘might’ look if created today, and is designed to provoke new thinking about the design, history and future of capital cities and planned cities internationally.
The competition is a project of the Centenary of Canberra, and comes 100 years after the original call for design entries for a capital city for the newly federated Australian nation.
