The fact is there are plenty of places worth talking about in Auckland. We want to know what you think and why you think it. Every nook and cranny has its own unique purpose and significance to someone. The homes, the apartment blocks, the libraries, universities and sports arenas, from downtown to up town and everything in between. Any grievances you’ve been dying to let out. Any congratulations you feel need to be voiced. The good the bad and the ugly, we want your opinion on it.

Write down your thoughts on Auckland’s built environments in 800 words or less (you may include a picture if you feel inclined). Email your submission to info AT aaa.org.nz to us by 4:00pm Friday, 9th October 2009 to Auckland Architecture Association Urban Eye Competition, as either a pdf or word document. Feel free to use a pseudonym. And if having your say isn’t incentive enough first prize is $1000. So get scribbling, tell us what you feel passionately about regarding the architecture that shapes Auckland City.

Judges: Alex Sweeny – Heart of the City, Brian Rudman – NZ Herald and a Prominent Auckland Architect

Awards night Thursday 15th October at the Gow Langsford Gallery, 26 Lorne Street.

We look forward to hearing from you.
