Due to popular demand the closing date for entries for the Think Brick Awards 2011 has been extended until June 7. As a result it’s still possible to enter one of the richest design awards in Australia. With entries extended by a week it’s not too late for architects and students to submit an innovative brick design for a chance to win the About Face Student & Open Face Awards. Created to encourage architects and architectural students to consider the artistic, environmental and versatile features of clay brick use, the winners of the Think Brick Awards 2011 will be announced at a high profile event in Melbourne on 11th August.

Enter the 12th annual Australian Timber Design Awards
Entry is open to architects, builders, designers, engineers, interior designers and landscape architects. Categories cover all major applications, small budget projects, sustainability, a People’s Choice Award and a Rising Star Award. Entries will automatically be considered for the 2011 Trans-Tasman Timber Design Awards and the 2012 International Timber Design Awards.

Brisbane Airport Corporation working in association with City Lab is pleased to announce BNE: Making Connections: an architecture and urban design competition for Brisbane Airport that is open to all registered Australian architects.

2010 entries are now open and will close on 8 October 2010.
2010 marks a change in process whereby most of the entry submission will take place online, with entrants only sending hard copies of 2 x A2 sheets and drawings.
The annual program is open to architects, graduates, students and other built environment professionals. A prize pool of $3000 is offered.
The AA Prize for Unbuilt Work is an Architecture Australia inititaive. The 2010 Prize is presented in partnership with ISIS.
